How much preparation went into making this video and why?

"Preparing for my first music video I wanted to make sure I had on a nice outfit because when you look good you feel good. I also told the director that I wanted to film it in a nice Backround somewhere by the water with a lot of sun and what better place to do that than the pier. Since this is a remix song to the classic 2pac record “Picture me rollin” I wanted to wear a t shirt with him on it just to show love.
