Where did you get your inspiration for this video?

"When I came to North Carolina the first couple times, I didn't know how to make a u - turn to get on the other side of the highway. Where I'm from originally NY/NJ, there are jug handles and traffic lights to make u - turns. So...when I was at this motel in Raleigh, NC, I was asking the attendant how to get to the other side of the median that was in the road. There was another patron checking out as well and he overheard me and said, "just bust a u turn" This encounter or experience was the basis for the song and it evolved into an epic story of introspection, metaphor and imagery when I started looking back at where I come from and where I've been..."
