How much preparation went into making this video and why?

"There was a lot of time and thought put into the preparation of the video. My team and I did a lot of driving around chicago, my hometown, to find perfect areas to shoot the video. It was more of an instinctive process because once we saw a spot we knew that we were going to use it. We also went to wisconsin dells to shoot some scenes, it was a fun process and there's a lot of love in this video."
